Video: Race, Solidarity, and Allyship: Embracing Our Black LGBTQ+ Siblings

The African-American Resource Center and the LGBTQ Center at Penn host this panel addressing the need of LGBTQ+ allyship within African American communities. This event brings together prominent Black and queer figures within the Penn and Philadelphia community to share their experience, knowledge, and wisdom on how we as a Black community can be in solidarity and stand with queer folks, especially our youth.

Video: Systems of Violence and Our Urgent Interventions

This lecture seeks to identify and define violence, understand its prevalence and impact across racial and gender identity, and its interconnectedness across scale. We discuss the unique ways that violence, and specifically identity-based violence, is embedded and sustained within American culture, and how responses in our personal lives and professional roles can impart meaningful interventions.
